Process for Requesting Annual Leave
1. Log in to the Bright HR Blip App
Open the Bright HR Blip App on your smartphone.
Log in using your registered email address and password. If you are using it for the first time, follow the instructions to set up your account.
2. Access the 'Leave' Section
Once logged in, navigate to the main dashboard.
Select the ‘Leave’ or ‘Holidays’ tab from the menu (depending on your app version). This will show your holiday allowance and previously booked time off.
3. Check Your Remaining Holiday Balance
Review your remaining annual leave balance in the app before submitting a request.
Make sure you have sufficient days available for the requested period.
4. Create a New Leave Request
Tap on the ‘Request Leave’ button or ‘+’ icon in the leave section.
Select the start date and end date for your holiday by scrolling through the calendar.
If you’re requesting just one day off, select the same date for both start and end.
For multiple days off, ensure the correct range of dates is selected.
5. Add Any Necessary Notes (Optional)
You have the option to add a note (e.g., reason for leave) if needed, but this is typically optional unless requested by your line manager.
6. Submit Your Request
After selecting the dates, review your request to make sure all details are correct.
Tap the ‘Submit’ or ‘Send Request’ button.
7. Await Manager Approval
Once submitted, your leave request will be sent to your line manager for approval.
You will receive a notification through the app once your request has been reviewed and either approved or declined.
8. Follow Up if Needed
If you do not receive a response within a few days, politely remind your line manager via email or phone.
Alternatively, check the app regularly for updates on the status of your request.

Holiday Request Guidelines:
Notice Period: Ensure you request annual leave with adequate notice (e.g., 2 weeks before the start date) to avoid disruption to the cleaning schedule.
Maximum Days: You can only request up to your remaining balance. Do not submit requests exceeding your allowed holiday.
Busy Periods: Be mindful of peak times where leave requests may be restricted (e.g., during deep cleaning periods).
Viewing Leave Status:
You can check the status of your request at any time by revisiting the ‘Leave’ section in the app. Approved, pending, or declined requests will be clearly marked.
Sick Leave and Other Absences:
For reporting sickness or other unplanned absences, follow the specific reporting procedure through your line manager or as detailed in the Practice Contracts Ltd handbook. The Blip App is for planned annual leave requests only.
